SV	Doch het volk weigerde Samuels stem te horen; en zij zeiden: Neen, maar er zal een koning over ons zijn.
WLC	וַיְמָאֲנ֣וּ הָעָ֔ם לִשְׁמֹ֖עַ בְּקֹ֣ול שְׁמוּאֵ֑ל וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ לֹּ֔א כִּ֥י אִם־מֶ֖לֶךְ יִֽהְיֶ֥ה עָלֵֽינוּ׃
Trans.	wayəmā’ănû hā‘ām lišəmō‘a bəqwōl šəmû’ēl wayyō’mərû llō’ kî ’im-meleḵə yihəyeh ‘ālênû:

AC	יט וימאנו העם לשמע בקול שמואל ויאמרו לא כי אם מלך יהיה עלינו
ASV	But the people refused to hearken unto the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay: but we will have a king over us,
BE	But the people gave no attention to the voice of Samuel; and they said, No, but we will have a king over us,
